Who Am I?
I am your cheerleader, that person who is there to motivate you. My goal is to be someone you turn to when you are in need. I want to be there for you through our blog posts, helpful tips, and a friendly shoulder to lean on.
Furthermore, if you need a comrade in arms, I am that person who will fight the good fight right along with you. Everyone knows that education is a tough road to travel. No one knows this more than a fellow teacher. That’s why we aim to help through our resources and blog posts.
Educational Experience
Education has been my life for the last 34 years. Did I say 34 years? Geez, that’s a long time.
Previously, I was a classroom teacher for third through fifth grade. Those were some of the best times of my life. Ah, the stories I could tell you.
Currently, I am an Elementary Librarian, Blogger, and Teacher Resource Creator, and teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders how to create beautiful eBooks with Canva. Want to know more, check out our Soar into Writing with Visual Magic Framework. Your students will be so happy you did.
I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education, a Masters in Library Science, and a Masters in Instructional Technology. See where that Obsessed With Learning thing came about?
I am definitely an avid fan of Children’s Literature. I think it might be on the border of obsession. Ask my husband, the one who sees the Amazon orders.
Previously, I was the International Literacy Association area coordinator for my division. Each year, we read and reviewed 1,000’s of newly published books in search of awesome gems to share with you. (Did I say 1,000’s upon 1,000’s? Yep, and I definitely loved each and every moment of this great endeavor).
2018-2019 Teacher of the Year for my elementary school. I am still in shock. What were they thinking?
My Passions
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. They are all my pride and joy; what keeps me going.
Author of three books with one more on the way. Sometimes it is hard to let go of that last book. After a while, they do become like your children.
Writer, Illustrator, Designer, and Creator, my true passion!
