Teachers are notorious for not taking a break from the hustle. How can we when there seems to be no time to relax, no time for self-care? The to-do list is long and never ending from chores at home to schoolwork we just couldn’t get to. Add in the mix that many of us are also teaching virtually, whether full time or part time in addition to in-person teaching, and it leaves very little time for self-care. Nevertheless, we must make time.
Farmhouse Decor highlights the feel of living in a traditional farmhouse. It includes light colors, wood furniture and floors, and an overall sense of farm life. I grew up with chickens chasing me around a yard in bare feet with mud between my toes. I remember barn kittens and a mother who planted a vegetable garden every year. I grew up with a clothesline to dry my clothes and still to this day, I miss that smell. So, I know farmhouse living. It’s in my bones.
A virtual classroom is a classroom students can log into and view an interactive mock-up of a physical classroom online. It is a way to provide some familiarity to students, as well as provide a fun, engaging, and interactive environment. A virtual classroom, in this context, can provide a place for students to navigate links, videos, lessons, and materials, all within a version of the regular classroom.
